Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Project
It’s a time for giving this holiday season!

This holiday season, Complete Packaging System hosted a shoebox packing party to support Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child. Each shoebox is filled by Canadians with hygiene items, school supplies, and toys, and is given to children regardless of gender, race, or religion.
Operation Christmas Child provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on project of Samaritan’s Purse that focuses on giving rather than receiving. Operation Christmas Child was started in 1990. In 1993, Operation Christmas Child grew and was adopted by Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian organization run by Franklin Graham. To date, Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed over 100 million shoebox gifts worldwide. In 2014, Canadians donated more than 700,474 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for under-privileged children around the world.
Complete Packaging Systems works hard to help out however we can during the holiday season. Before Samaritan’s Purse, we spent our holiday seasons volunteering our time with the Denise house. The Denise House is an amazing organization dedicated to helping women and families who have been affected by and are overcoming abuse. We were able to visit the shelter for 2 years and helped out with whatever we could. From gift-wrapping to organizing their stations, we did whatever needed to help make a difference during the holidays.
This year’s shoebox packing party was a huge success, and we had so much fun making up these gifts to give to children all over the world. We hope to expand our efforts and get our friends and families involved in the years to come. We can’t wait to work with Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child again!
